Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to all safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices for infants and toddlers
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and developmentally appropriate conduct
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that complies with health regulations and childcare standards
- Support early childhood education initiatives by facilitating activities aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying or youth programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is preferred
- Strong classroom experience or daycare experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members
- Ability to manage behavior positively while fostering a nurturing environment
- Prior experience teaching or caring for young children in structured programs or informal settings
