Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Raleigh, NC for one of BDI's portfolio companies. This role is created specifically to support our next phase of growth. You'll take true ownership of day-to-day accounting operations while working shoulder-to-shoulder with finance leadership as a trusted strategic partner. Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and invoicing.
- Assist with revenue recognition, contract review, and related accounting considerations.
- Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
- Assist in the development of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Maintain fixed asset records and support capital expenditure tracking.
- Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support business decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, CPA is a plus
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting principles, and internal controls.
- Experience with both the execution of day-to-day accounting activities and the development of scalable processes and controls.
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills including advanced Excel skills
- Big 4 accounting experience a plus
- Quickbooks Online experience a plus
This role is based in Raleigh, NC (North Hills). Candidates must be able to work on-site.
