Salary: $65,000 - $72,000 per year
Matilda is seeking an energetic, hospitality-driven Assistant Manager to join our leadership team in River North. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about guest experience, team development, and restaurant operations, and is looking to grow their career within a rapidly expanding hospitality company.
The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations, exceptional service, and a positive work environment for both guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily shifts and ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Support and coach front-of-house team members during service
- Assist with employee training, onboarding, and development
- Maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and organization
- Address guest concerns professionally and effectively
- Support scheduling and staffing needs as directed by leadership
- Monitor service standards and assist with floor management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, and safety standards
- Assist with inventory organization, operational procedures, and restaurant systems
- Foster a positive, accountable, and hospitality-focused culture
- Act as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience
- High-volume, full-service restaurant experience preferred
- Passion for hospitality and guest service
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with Toast POS is a plus
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
