About the Role:
Skilled Nursing Pharmacy in Hayward, CA is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our overnight graveyard shift team. Schedule:
- Overnight Shift (8:30pm - 5:00am)
- Shift Differential Applicable
Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and dispense medication orders for skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients during overnight hours
- Process and verify prescription orders in the pharmacy management system
- Prepare unit-dose and blister-pack medications in compliance with long-term care standards
- Coordinate urgent and STAT medication requests for nursing facilities
- Maintain proper medication storage, inventory control, and controlled substance logs
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and pharmacists to resolve order discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and facility protocols
Requirements:
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT) required
- Prior experience in a long-term care, institutional, or retail pharmacy preferred
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software and medication dispensing systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment
- Ability to work independently and remain focused during overnight/graveyard shift hours
- Knowledge of controlled substance handling and regulatory compliance
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a team-oriented setting
