He/she can assist customers with vehicle selection and has strong knowledge of performance, accessories, efficiency, safety features, and functions, warranty, and financing options. The Sales Consultant presents pre-owned vehicles to customers in an attractive and highly informative fashion that promotes prompt sales and maintains an ongoing relationship with customers to encourage networking and repeat business. We are accepting applications for both part-time and full-time employment.
The ideal candidate has relevant experience, a positive attitude, a confident and outgoing personality, a professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service. Used Car Sales experience is highly preferred, but not required. Candidates must be self-motivated with a willingness to continuously prospect to sell a minimum quota (or more!) on a month-to-month basis.
Responsibilities
- Helps customers with vehicle selection and value-add products and services, and purchase and finance options following dealership policies.
- Conducts vehicle test drives and ensures all speed limits and all other rules of the road are followed.
- Negotiates sale closure in a clear, concise, and highly ethical fashion.
- Maintains accurate sales documentation.
- Staff meetings, training, and educational classes are required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Car sales experience a plus.
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, management, and others.
- Must be able to combine customer service skills with a strong close.
- Must be a "people person" but still know how to guide the conversation.
- Must have an excellent attendance record and a commitment to being on time.
- Basic computer and internet skills are a plus.
