Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Virginia Physical Therapist license
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload across multiple schools (itinerant K-12)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and support personnel
- Flexibility and organizational skills to travel between assigned sites
- Fingerprinting clearance prior to starting the assignment is required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct PT services to students in accordance with IEPs and district protocols
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and set measurable goals for students’ functional mobility and independence
- Document treatment sessions and progress in a timely and accurate manner
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to implement effective therapy interventions within the educational environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight and advocating for student needs
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and school district requirements
This assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 29, 2027, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek. The hiring timeline is quick, with decisions made within 48 hours of interviews.
