Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will possess strong classroom management skills, expertise in early childhood education, and experience working with children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing learning environment, developing curriculum, and supporting student growth through innovative teaching strategies. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support students' communication and developmental goals.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with autism, disabilities, or specific learning needs, including those requiring IEP accommodations.
- Utilize learning technology and educational tools to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing and monitor progress to inform instruction.
- Foster an inclusive environment that promotes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional development.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, and behavioral data.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student development and program updates.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, special education, Montessori methods, or other relevant areas.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or special education environments.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and learning technology tools.
- Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or in early intervention programs.
- Familiarity with IEP processes, speech therapy integration, behavioral health practices, and literacy education strategies.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, parents, and specialists.
- Ability to develop curriculum tailored to diverse learners including toddlers, preschoolers, or students in private or daycare settings.
