Job Summary
Giken America Corporation is seeking a skilled Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic to join its team. The ideal candidate must have experience in diagnosing, repairing, maintaining heavy construction machinery, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment as well as in a warehouse or office for over-the-phone consultation, shipping parts, invoicing, etc.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on specialized piling equipment, specialized cranes, and related machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using schematics and OEM manuals.
- Provide on-site technical guidance on assembly/disassembly, operation, and maintenance of the equipment.
- Fabricate parts or modify the equipment as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools.
- Assist with the equipment shipping out and receiving at storage yards and construction sites.
- Take service and parts orders from customers.
- Maintain detailed service records, prepare and send invoices.
- Take inventory of the equipment and parts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals for diagnostics and repairs.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, electrical repairs, hydraulic systems, and diagnose of diesel engine issues (experience with Cummins engines preferred).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license required; ability to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screening is essential. This role offers the opportunity to work on specialized construction equipment in a dynamic environment while honing your technical skills in heavy machinery repair and maintenance.
Pay: $4,000.00 - $4,400.00 per month
