Pay based on Industry (Food Manufacturing) Experience. If you do not have a minimum of 2 years industry experience, you will receive the entry level pay of $18.00/hr.
Candidates MUST meet the following requirements:
- Fluent in Spanish (daily verbal communication required)
- Able to commit to a rotating schedule OR 2nd shift as follows:
- (Monday–Saturday, approximately 1:00 PM–10:00 PM or 12:00 PM–12:00 AM)
- Willing to work mandatory overtime based on production needs
- Comfortable working on the production floor (standing, walking, lifting, interacting with operators)
- Bilingual communication is required.

Pay will be determined based on experience.
Position Summary
The Quality Control Technician supports the Quality Assurance team by monitoring and maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the milling, production, packaging, and outbound processes for rice, flour, beans, bran, and spice products.
This role requires high energy, attention to detail, and constant movement throughout the facility collecting samples, inspecting product, and working directly with production and logistics teams. Clear communication is critical—if you don’t know something or identify an issue, you are expected to ask and escalate immediately.
Food manufacturing QC experience is preferred; however, we will train motivated individuals who demonstrate initiative, accountability, and the ability to follow instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and finished product inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and customer specifications
- Perform quality testing including moisture analysis, granulation/particle size, weight checks, visual inspections, and contaminant checks
- Monitor milling, production, and packaging operations for compliance with HACCP, GMP, SQF/ISO, and company standards
- Perform outbound inspections, verifying shipment accuracy, labeling, quantities, packaging integrity, and seal quality prior to dispatch
- Accurately document inspection results, deviations, corrective actions, and production records using manual logs and computer systems
- Generate and communicate quality findings and reports to QA leadership and management
- Assist with root cause investigations and verify corrective actions are implemented and sustained
- Calibrate and verify QC and monitoring equipment as required
- Ensure sanitation and housekeeping standards are maintained on the production floor
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to resolve quality issues and support on-time, accurate shipments
- Participate in internal audits, external audit preparation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; degree in Food Science, QA, or related field a plus
- 1–3 years of QC, QA, or inspection experience in food manufacturing preferred (milling experience a plus)
- Knowledge of food safety programs (HACCP, GMP, SQF, ISO)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Proficient with basic computer applications, including MS Office / Excel
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- PPE required
- Mandatory overtime and rotating schedules based on production demands
