The Position
We are looking for a Chip Chaser to help keep our machine shop clean, organized, and running smoothly.
This is a hands-on support position in our CNC machine shop. The primary focus of this role is maintaining cleanliness on and around machines, clearing chips, supporting routine machine maintenance, and helping maintain important shop equipment such as coolant systems, air compressors, and HVAC systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, mechanically minded, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and interested in being part of an aerospace team.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Self-motivated, punctual, and dependable
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment
Interest in hands-on, mechanical, and maintenance-related work
Ability to stay organized and follow established procedures
Responsibilities
Clear chips from CNC machines, chip conveyors, and shop floor areas
Dump chip bins and help maintain clean chip-handling areas
Maintain cleanliness on and around machines throughout the machine shop
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines as assigned
Support coolant system and evaporator maintenance
Assist with air compressor maintenance
Assist with HVAC system maintenance
Keep inventory of maintenance supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Communicate clearly with machinists, leads, maintenance, and support departments
