Flint Rehab builds technology and virtual care programs that help people recovering from stroke, brain injury, and other neurological conditions continue making progress at home. Our mission is to make high-quality neuro recovery support accessible to patients long after their formal insurance-covered care ends.
ABOUT THIS ROLE:
As a Neuro Specialized Recovery Coach, you'll be the primary point of contact for patients enrolled in Flint's private-pay recovery program. You'll guide patients through recovery programs built by our clinical team of physical and occupational therapists, help them stay engaged and motivated, and make sure they always feel supported between check-ins. This is a patient-facing, relationship-driven role, not a clinical treatment role. You won't be evaluating patients or making individualized treatment decisions; our PT/OT team builds the programs and protocols in advance, and you'll help patients get the most out of them.
** Please note: This is a non-clinical, coach-facing role. We're unable to consider licensed PTs, PTAs, OTs, or OTAs for this position. Please don't apply.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
· Lead welcoming onboarding calls, helping new patients understand their program and what to expect.
· Check in with patients on a regular schedule to track progress, answer questions, and keep them motivated.
· Guide patients through the exercises and recovery programs designed by our clinical team, adjusting pacing based on how the patient is doing.
· Recognize when a patient's questions or symptoms go beyond your role and escalate promptly to Flint's clinical team.
· Document patient progress and communication clearly and consistently.
· Share patient feedback with our PT/OT team to help improve and refine our recovery programs over time.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working directly with patients, takes initiative without needing to be micromanaged, and stays organized while managing a caseload independently. A working knowledge of common neuro rehab exercises and how they're typically progressed or modified based on patient feedback will help you support patients well within the programs our clinical team designs.
NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:
· Currently resides in the United States.
· 1+ years of hands-on experience working with the neuro patient population in a recovery or rehab setting.
· Solid written and verbal communication skills.
· A quiet, professional home office space for patient calls.
· Reliable high-speed internet.
· Able to work Monday–Friday during normal business hours.
· Background as a neuro rehab aide, rehab technician, personal trainer, RNA, or NRCMA with hands-on neuro caseload experience.
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED):
· Experience with MedBridge.
· Fully Bilingual English + Spanish
· Telehealth experience
