Duties
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy construction machinery following all safety regulations and operational procedures
- Transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and debris to and from construction sites with precision and care
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
- Assist with construction utility work, including utility locating and site grading tasks when needed
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate loading, unloading, and delivery schedules efficiently
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe work environment
- Support excavation activities by operating loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other machinery as required
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving within construction or similar environments
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining heavy equipment such as Caterpillar loaders or excavators
- Skilled in construction utility work including utility locating and site grading techniques
- Strong understanding of federal safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Ability to operate loaders, excavators, backhoes, and other construction machinery confidently
- Knowledge of excavation processes, construction site safety protocols, and equipment maintenance practices
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safety compliance at all times
