The RN/Supervisor provides frontline leadership and operational oversight for the Emergency Department and Urgent Care services. This position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting excellence in clinical practice, employee engagement, regulatory compliance, and fiscal stewardship. The Nursing Supervisor collaborates with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, improve clinical outcomes, and achieve organizational goals.
This role serves as a clinical resource, coach, mentor, and leader, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Related Years of Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years of ED Nursing experience is required. Previous leadership/management experience is preferred.
Credential/Licensure Required:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wisconsin
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of employment
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) Or Advance Trauma Life Support (ATLA) within one (1) year of employment.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within one (1) year of employment
- Pediatric Course encouraged, ENPC or PALS
Shift: Working 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday with an occasional need to cover staff hours alternate hours and weekends.
