Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented LED Sign Production Technician to join our growing sign manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, fabricating, and testing custom LED illuminated signs, channel letters, cabinet signs, and related signage products. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Typical production roles involve assembly, equipment operation, quality inspections, packaging, and adherence to safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assemble LED channel letters, cabinet signs, and illuminated sign components.
- Install LED modules, power supplies, transformers, and wiring systems.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
- Fabricate sign components using aluminum, acrylic, PVC, and other sign materials.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, drills, saws, routers, and fabrication equipment.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure signs meet company standards.
- Test electrical components and lighting systems before shipment.
- Package finished signs and prepare orders for delivery or installation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA safety requirements and company procedures.
- Assist with inventory management and material handling.
- Work with production, graphics, and installation teams to meet project deadlines
Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work with tools throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
Preferred
- Previous experience in sign manufacturing, electrical assembly, fabrication, or
construction.
- Experience with LED lighting systems and low-voltage wiring.
- Knowledge of channel letters, cabinet signs, and sign fabrication methods.
- Welding or metal fabrication experience is a plus
