American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Emergency Department position at a Level III trauma center in Farmington, NM, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ED experience and certifications including TNCC.

Level III trauma center Emergency Department serving the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah

48-bed ED with additional flex space
-
Patient population includes ESRD, cirrhosis, COPD, psychiatric, and substance abuse presentations; common diagnoses include STEMI, sepsis, stroke, CHF, chest pain, and abdominal pain

Patient ratios: 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track

Mid-shift schedule with a combination of 10am–10pm, 12pm–12am, and 3pm–3am shifts (12-hour shifts)
-
36 hours per week
-
Minimum of two weekends per schedule required

No on-call or float requirements

Equipment includes Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and iStat POC, and Ultrasound Guided IV

EMR: Cerner

Active NM or Compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC

Experience with trauma, stroke, STEMI, sepsis, and moderate sedation required

ADN or higher nursing education required

Area-specific competency exam and skills checklist required for consideration

Team nursing and pod system model in use within the department
-
Social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator are available for support
