Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and a skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and possess the necessary skills to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires experience and a blend of mechanical knowledge and excellent driving abilities, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of vehicles in need.
Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed models, to safely transport vehicles to designated locations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their towing needs and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of tow trucks to ensure safety and operational readiness.
- Utilize conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
- Maintain accurate records of towing services provided, including vehicle information and customer details.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance and repairs on tow trucks as needed.
- Drive in various weather conditions while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles onto the tow truck safely and efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid Chauffer license and would prefer a commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record is also preferred, however no more than 2 points in order to be added to our insurance policy.
- Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair is a plus.
- Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Previous experience driving tow trucks or similar vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Forklift operation experience is a nice-to-have skill for assisting with vehicle handling when necessary.
