Duties
- Apply joint compound, tape, and finishing techniques to drywall surfaces for a smooth, seamless appearance
- Sand and prepare drywall surfaces for painting or texturing, ensuring optimal finish quality
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately complete drywall finishing tasks
- Repair drywall damage and perform drywall texturing to match existing finishes seamlessly
- Install metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and perform plastering or stucco work as needed for comprehensive wall finishing
- Follow construction plans and site instructions while adhering strictly to safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to ensure coordinated project progress
Skills
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation, repair, texturing, and finishing techniques
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with construction estimating and site safety regulations in the construction industry
- Skilled in related trades such as framing carpentry, door hanging, flooring installation, and painting
- Ability to interpret construction plans and schematics for precise execution of tasks
- Hands-on experience with water damage restoration, mold remediation, and restoration industry practices is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes on every project
