Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. Must have Drywall Finishing experience. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the construction field. Role does Include but is not limited to the following as well:
- Travel to and work on project sites, primarily in Florida for the next year
- Read and interpret blueprints and execute accurate wall layouts
- Frame walls using steel studs to exact specifications
- Perform drywall installation from start to finish: hanging, taping, mudding, sanding
Current Project
- Location: Florida
- Duration: Minimum 12 months
- Schedule: Full-time, extended stays (per diem + lodging included)
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including framing, drywall installation, and finishing work.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings is a plus.
- Familiarity with safety practices in the construction industry is beneficial.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license may be required for certain positions.
