Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery
- Take and develop dental x-rays while maintaining proper aseptic technique and ensuring clinical confidentiality policies are followed
- Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding
- Monitor vital signs and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout treatment
- Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by processing dental instruments and adhering to infection control standards in accordance with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise
Requirements
- Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, including general dentistry.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental x-ray techniques
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control policies
- Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety; experience with 3D scanners is a plus
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; ability to explain procedures clearly and maintain professional rapport with patients of all ages
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with privacy standards; commitment to clinical confidentiality policies
- Open Dental Experience a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
