CurryCrete is seeking a reliable and safety-oriented Concrete Ready Mix Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to job sites, ensuring quality standards are met while providing excellent customer service. You will play a vital role in supporting construction projects by operating specialized vehicles and maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to transport and deliver concrete to job sites.
- Inspect the vehicle before and after each shift, including checking fluid levels, tires, brakes, and ensuring proper maintenance.
- Mix and inspect concrete during delivery to ensure consistency and quality.
- Follow designated routes, schedules, and instructions while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly.
- Maneuver the truck to safely pour concrete into specified areas, ensuring proper handling of equipment and minimizing spills.
- Maintain cleanliness of the truck, including washing the drum, blades and chutes after each delivery.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, such as delivery tickets and inspection reports.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including yard work or equipment maintenance when not driving.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class B or Class A).
- Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Experience operating ready-mix trucks or similar vehicles (highly preferred but not required; training may be provided).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
