Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and surface specifications to accurately execute painting projects.
- Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting (airless and conventional), and construction spray techniques.
- Use hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment safely to reach high or difficult areas while maintaining safety regulations and protocols.
- Perform coating applications on structural elements such as stucco, masonry, concrete finishes, and metal surfaces in industrial or commercial settings.
- Conduct surface inspections with visual color comparison tools to ensure color consistency and quality standards are met throughout the project.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection when necessary and following all safety protocol guidelines during construction site activities.
- Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or fixture installation as needed.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials like paint residues and ensuring all tools are stored correctly after use.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques and finishing methods.
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, industrial painting projects, including renovation work and restoration processes.
- Skilled in using various hand tools, power tools (including airless paint sprayers), scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, color theory principles, and construction estimating is highly desirable.
- Experience with specialized coatings such as stucco or masonry finishes is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to project timelines.
- Previous construction site experience demonstrating safety protocol adherence and teamwork skills is essential.
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities accurately are required.
