We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Roll-Off Driver / Rear Load Garbage Truck / Side Load Driver to help us keep Northern Colorado clean and green. This role is perfect for someone who loves working independently, thrives on physical challenges, and knows their way around commercial vehicles.
What You’ll Do:
- Roll-Off Operations: Safely deliver and pick up roll-off containers, transporting them to and from landfills and customer locations. Navigate tight spaces near pedestrians, traffic, and buildings.
- Rear Load Duties: Operate rear-load garbage trucks to pick up residential trash along designated routes.
- Side Load Tasks: Manage 2 and 3 yard dumpsters along your route, ensuring efficient and safe waste collection.
- ASL Tasks: Manage large routes picking up trash carts, navigating routes and ensuring no stops are forgotten.
- Hands-On Work: Load extra bags and materials by hand into trucks and handle waste spills with care to keep our neighborhoods clean.
- Safety First: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, secure loads for transport, and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Customer Service: Interact courteously with customers, handle route sheets efficiently, and troubleshoot any issues.
- Tech-Savvy Tasks: Use onboard routing tablets, cameras, and hand controls to operate hydraulic equipment and track progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work a physically demanding job involving heavy lifting (50+ lbs multiple times daily).
- Start early (4:30 AM or 6:30 AM) and complete daily assigned routes.
- Perform minor truck maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
- Adapt to varying weather conditions (rain, snow, heat) and occasional weekend shifts for special events or emergencies.
- Monitor waste contents for unacceptable materials and communicate effectively with dispatch.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of your truck.

What We’re Looking For:
- CDL Class B (minimum) with manual transmission experience.
- Commercial driving experience, preferably with roll-off or garbage trucks.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to handle demanding tasks.
- A clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Basic tech skills to operate routing tablets and hydraulic controls.
- Excellent time management, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
