SXCS is seeking an experienced Program Director to provide leadership and oversight for our Comprehensive Outpatient Program (COP), including Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) services.
The Program Director will be responsible for the overall administration and daily operations of the program, including clinical and administrative oversight, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, patient services, and coordination with the medical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and day-to-day management of the COP/OTP.
- Oversee clinical, administrative, and operational functions.
- Supervise and support clinical supervisors, counselors, administrative staff, and other program personnel.
- Work closely with the Medical Director, nursing team, clinical leadership, and executive management.
- Ensure program compliance with OASAS and all applicable state and federal requirements.
- Maintain readiness for regulatory reviews, audits, and inspections.
- Monitor clinical documentation, treatment planning, patient records, and quality of services.
- Ensure policies and procedures are properly implemented and followed.
- Oversee staff scheduling, productivity, performance, and training.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, supervision, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor program census, admissions, discharges, and overall service delivery.
- Address patient concerns and assist with resolving clinical and operational issues.
- Coordinate with hospitals, healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral sources.
- Participate in quality assurance, incident review, and performance improvement activities.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and applicable substance use disorder confidentiality requirements.
- Promote a professional, respectful, patient-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior leadership or management experience in a substance use disorder treatment or behavioral health program required.
- Experience working within an OASAS-certified program strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP), methadone program, or medication-assisted treatment program strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical operations, regulatory compliance, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, nurses, counselors, regulatory agencies, and executive leadership.
- Strong computer and electronic health record skills.
Schedule
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM, as required for program oversight
Preferred Experience
Candidates with previous experience as a Program Director, Assistant Program Director, Clinical Director, OTP Director, or senior manager within an OASAS Part 822/COP or OTP setting are strongly encouraged to apply.
