Part-Time Small-Group After-School Tutor
Faith-based After-School Program–8th Avenue area, Brooklyn, NY
We are looking for a responsible, patient, and enthusiastic tutor to lead and support a small group of elementary school students in our after-school program. College students are strongly encouraged to apply!
Duties
Provide small-group tutoring and homework support in reading, writing, phonics and basic math.
Help students with homework and school assignments
Encourage students and help them develop good study habits
Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment
Help manage the group and keep students engaged and on task
Requirements
College students, recent graduates, and experienced tutors are welcome to apply
Experience working with elementary-age children is preferred
Patient, dependable, responsible, and energetic
Comfortable working with a small group of children
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin) is a plus
Pay: $18.00 per hour
