Founded in 1996, Dwarven Forge (DwarvenForge.com) is a company of artists and gamers. We design, create, and market handcrafted gaming terrain. Our customers are passionate and discerning. They primarily use our products in Tabletop Roleplaying games (e.g. Dungeons & Dragons).
We’re looking for a freelance lighting and camera person. Experience with lighting, gaffing, photography, and cinematography is essential. You will work directly with the video producer and creative director. Accuracy, attention to detail, a collaborative spirit, and timeliness are crucial. Interest in gaming, especially TTRPG or wargaming, is a plus. Experience setting up, lighting and filming dioramas, miniatures, or stop motion is a plus.
Expected hours: 20-50 hours per week.
Must be able to commute to our Studio in Brooklyn (Bushwick) with the flexibility to work some hours remotely.
Your starting responsibilities will include:
- Setting up cameras, lighting, audio, and other necessary equipment
- Lighting and filming people
- Product photography
Requirements:
- Experience with Blackmagic or similar cinema camera
- Experience with Sony A7, A9, or similar camera
- Proficiency using a jib and rails
- Utilizing a grid and lightboard
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel and Google Docs
