Part time or Full Time Quality Assurance Inspector.
Elmech Inc., a 40 year small business located in Morgan Hill, CA and specializing in custom Electro Mechanical assemblies, has an open position for a Part time (Monday-Tuesday 16 hours per week) OR Full time (Monday-Friday - 40 hours per week) experienced Quality Insurance Inspector. Experience required specifically to Electro Mechanical assemblies and Harnesses. Benefits included for Full Time position only.
QA Inspector Job Responsibilities:
- Inspects and approves Cable/Wiring/Harness assemblies by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
The position requires sitting and some standing, very good eyesight for close up work, and the ability to lift 20 lbs. Previous experience as a cable assembler a plus. Work hours are typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Mon-Fri. Elmech offers a competitive Health plan. Hourly wage $21-$25 per hour based on experience.
QA Inspector Qualifications/Skills:

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Experience with quality control techniques specific to Electro Mechanical Assembly
- Experience with measuring devices such as meters, gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- Minimum one to two years’ quality inspector experience specific to Electro Mechanical Assembly
