Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for repair by performing a variety of surface and component preparations. Your expertise will ensure that vehicles are ready for painting, detailing, and final assembly, contributing to high-quality auto body repairs and restorations. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment to apply primers, fillers, and finishes with precision
- Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, panel alignment, and minor structural corrections
- Assist with auto painting tasks such as masking, buffing, and polishing to achieve a smooth, professional appearance
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Previous dealership experience or automotive repair shop background highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with welding techniques used in auto body repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle systems and maintenance procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, buffing equipment, and airless paint sprayers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes
- Prior involvement in auto restoration projects or mechanic work is beneficial
