Your Work Schedule and Shift Information
- 8-hour shifts
- 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm Monday-Friday
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed
- Plant operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
As part of our manufacturing team, you will:
- Follow all department safety guidelines, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lockout procedures
- Position railcars using the Shuttle Wagon and unload grain into the receiving pit
- Assist with unloading trucks and other grain-receiving activities
- Enter required grain, truck, and railcar information into the Unified Grain System (UGS) and verify information for accuracy
- Complete required paperwork, data entry, and other documentation
- Perform sanitation throughout the grain elevator facility, including sweeping, shoveling, vacuuming, and other tasks in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS)
- Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance checks on the Shuttle Wagon, dust collectors, hydraulic car door opener, and other assigned equipment
- Maintain proper fluid levels and complete minor maintenance on the Shuttle Wagon
- Complete minor repairs within the scope of the position and communicate maintenance needs or generate work orders when additional repairs are required
- Complete required training and learn the next position in the Elevator department’s line of progression
- Provide coverage for the Spouter position as needed
- Assist other areas of the department and perform additional duties as assigned
- Assist in training new employees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of mechanical and/or technical experience in manufacturing or related industry
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts
- Must possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periods
- Willingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditions
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms
- Ability to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standards
- Ability to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)
- Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Manufacturing or production experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
