Attendant – The Laundry Bin
Job Title: Attendant - Part Time (with potential for full time in future)

Duties and Responsibilities - Attendants perform multiple tasks ranging from providing exceptional customer service; cleaning and operating commercial laundry equipment; and processing laundry by washing and folding laundry items. Some main Attendant job duties and responsibilities include:
- Engaging with customers to ensure they understand the store systems and equipment and helping them with anything they need
- Coordinate the receipt, inventory, and storage of all clothing items delivered for Wash and Fold Drop Off service
- Sorting linens, towels, clothing and other laundry items by color, size and material
- Loading laundry into commercial washers and processing the laundry following proper sanitation protocols and customer preferences
- Unloading and folding laundry from commercial dryers
- Packaging washed and dried laundry items for pickup by customers
- Cleaning and maintaining laundromat area and equipment
- Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, and fabric softener
- Creating laundry tags with identifiable customer information
- Operate store Point of Sale/register for Drop Off orders and retail sales of products
Qualifications
Attendants often work in busy environments in which stringent guidelines must be followed to ensure that clothing, linens and other items are clean and sanitized to meet quality standards. A successful Attendant candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications to meet the requirements of the role:
- Exceptional customer service skills when handling customer requests
- Physical stamina while remaining stationary for extended periods of time and moving heavy laundry loads
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders and tasks throughout each shift
- Attention to detail when sorting colored items and handling delicate fabrics
- Work well with co-workers and supervisors while displaying positive work behavior
- Clean, organized, and detail-oriented
- Basic arithmetic and computer skills
- Prior customer service experience preferred, but not required
*The ideal candidate for this position enjoys serving and helping others and has flexible availability. Experience is a plus, but a desire to succeed and be part of an awesome team is mandatory!
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel
- Must be in good physical health and able to perform all functions of the position
Hours, Compensation, and Benefits
Attendants are compensated at an hourly rate determined at hire. In addition to the hourly rate, attendants who have successfully completed a probationary period can receive extra pay through the store bonus structure for processing Drop Off orders.
Attendants qualify for a fixed quantity of free machine use for processing their personal laundry.
The number of hours worked by part-time attendants may vary from week to week but are expected to average 24-32 hours per week (4-6 hours per shift). Shift times worked may be evening or day shift and will include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. There is a potential to move into a full time position in the future.
The Laundry Bin is a forward-looking company with plans to expand and offer additional positions (including management). We are looking to build a solid foundation of employees now that can grow with us.
