Job Summary

Duties
- Design and implement robust AI systems leveraging cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, and Rackspace to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Develop and maintain microservices architectures using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and other DevOps tools to automate deployment processes and streamline system management.
- Manage IT infrastructure components including virtualization technologies like VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, and Virtual Private Clouds to support distributed systems and cloud development initiatives.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration with SaaS applications, IoT devices, and enterprise systems.
- Implement system hardening practices and security protocols for identity and access management (IAM), VPNs, network security (Meraki), and other cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to develop scalable applications utilizing programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, Ruby on Rails, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and.NET frameworks.
- Monitor system performance metrics; troubleshoot issues; perform capacity planning; manage databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; ensure optimal operation of cloud infrastructure.
Skills
- Extensive experience with cloud architecture including IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), and cloud development best practices.
- Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure using virtualization platforms such as VMware, OpenStack, Citrix; expertise in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems design principles; experience with microservices architecture; familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
- Knowledge of automation tools including Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef; skilled in scripting languages such as Bash shell scripting, PowerShell; experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Background in computer science or related fields with solid understanding of operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows) and database management (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle).
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices focusing on software deployment automation; system hardening; managing scalability challenges in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT), T-SQL programming language; understanding of application development frameworks like Node.js or Ruby on Rails; knowledge of API security protocols.
