Responsibilities:
- Assist dermatologists and clinical staff with patient examinations and dermatological procedures
- Perform clinical intake duties including vital signs, medical history documentation, and chief complaint review
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and stocking of supplies
- Administer medications, injections, and topical treatments as directed by the provider
- Support skin surgery procedures including biopsies, excisions, and wound care
- Document patient information accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Educate patients on treatment plans, skincare regimens, and post-procedure care instructions
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively between front and back office teams
Requirements:
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential required
- Prior experience in a dermatology, surgical, or specialty medical practice preferred
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and patient-facing interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a high-volume clinical environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in clinical documentation
