Exalt Academy of Southwest Little Rock is a dynamic open-enrollment public charter school district focused on closing the achievement gap for underserved students in grades K-12 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Our mission is to prepare students from underserved communities for competitive colleges and advanced careers by ensuring mastery in core subjects and fostering key behaviors essential for success, citizenship, and leadership both within their communities and beyond.
Exalt Academy is seeking an innovative and student-centered Gifted and Talented (GT) Teacher to develop and deliver enrichment opportunities for advanced learners. The GT Teacher will identify and support students with high potential, differentiate instruction to meet their academic and social-emotional needs, and collaborate with classroom teachers to extend learning beyond the core curriculum. The ideal candidate will be a certified teacher with a preference for a GT endorsement or certification and a passion for supporting exceptional learners.

Be a certified teacher in the state of Arkansas

Hold or be willing to pursue Arkansas Gifted and Talented certification (preferred)

Identify, assess, and provide services to GT-eligible students
-
Deliver enrichment and acceleration opportunities through project-based learning

Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction for GT students

Maintain documentation for GT student services and program compliance
-
Facilitate critical and creative thinking in diverse academic settings
-
Communicate regularly with families and staff about student progress

Design and implement GT instruction aligned with Arkansas standards and district goals
-
Coordinate identification procedures and student placements in collaboration with leadership

Plan and lead small-group instruction, pull-out lessons, and/or co-taught sessions

Provide professional development and support to staff around GT strategies

Organize and lead GT enrichment events or competitions
-
Maintain records, reports, and compliance documentation for the GT program

Participate in ongoing professional learning and curriculum development

Bachelor’s Degree required

Must hold current Arkansas teacher certification

Gifted and Talented endorsement or certification strongly preferred

1–3 years of classroom teaching experience preferred

Proficiency with instructional technology and digital resources

Experience using data to monitor progress and personalize learning
-
Ability to manage student work portfolios, GT documentation, and reporting
