Battle Axe Construction is seeking a self-directed and experienced Project Manager. This individual will work directly with the CEO, CFO, Senior Project Manager, Estimator, Project Engineer, and Superintendents. This individual is expected to perform the following tasks: Establish and maintain Master Progress Schedule, maintain relations with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendors, prepare a budget and financial reporting, maintain general contract and subcontract documents, maintain quality assurance and control, establish & monitor administrative procedures for the project, organizes and trains staff, keep management informed on the progress of project and budget, perform other duties and take on other responsibilities as required.

Lead in the development of high-performance teams through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ensure regular feedback is shared with staff including timely completion of employee performance reviews.

Manage and develop assigned staff toward maximum job performance and career potential.

Develop and improve upon assigned client relationships fostering a “trusted advisor” status.

Understands and administers construction contract and subcontract agreements.

Provide effective leadership, ensuring that staff members are demonstrating efficiency and professionalism to reflect Battle Axe Construction’s core business principles.

Foster and enhance architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations.

Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.

May work with senior management during preconstruction for the development of projects.

Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to
project budget. -
Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.

Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisions.

Understand, comply, and advise others on Battle Axe Construction’s business ethics and compliance programs.

Demonstrate a high standard of persona, accountability, and integrity. Mentor staff to the same high standards.

Manage and oversee company operations processes and procedures.

Drive competencies to the team on requirements for insurance, labor relations, and employee relations.

Monitor’s safety protocols.

Work with Accounting to initiate progress payments throughout the project and follows up to ensure payments are received so that work can continue.

Keeps staff informed on progress for project and budget through regularly scheduled operations review meetings.

Promote and utilize emerging technologies and innovations to improve the company’s sustainable competitive advantages.

Provide leadership that fosters an environment of diversity and inclusion.

7+ years of experience with commercial construction projects

Prefer a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management or related field

Ability to work non-traditional hours if necessary

Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Must be proficient in computer software such as Microsoft, Adobe, AUTO CAD, P6
