Green Haven Home Care is seeking an experienced and highly organized Caregiver Recruiter to help us identify, screen, and recruit qualified Home Care Aides (HCAs).
This position is ideal for someone who has previous recruiting or onboarding experience within a California Home Care Organization (HCO) and is familiar with California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Home Care Services requirements.
Responsibilities
- Recruit qualified caregivers/Home Care Aides through Indeed and other recruiting platforms
- Review applications and resumes and conduct initial applicant screening
- Conduct phone interviews with prospective caregivers
- Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with applicants throughout the recruiting process
- Identify candidates who meet our agency's employment and compliance requirements
- Understand California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registry requirements
- Verify HCA registration status and identify applicants who need assistance becoming registered
- Understand basic CDSS requirements for Home Care Organizations and affiliated Home Care Aides
- Screen applicants for required documentation, certifications, and employment qualifications
- Coordinate qualified candidates with HR/onboarding for completion of their personnel files
- Maintain accurate applicant notes and recruiting statuses
- Follow up with candidates who have incomplete requirements
- Help maintain a steady pipeline of qualified caregivers based on current staffing needs
- Communicate effectively with HR and staffing regarding caregiver availability, location, experience, and scheduling preferences
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- Previous caregiver recruiting experience
- Experience working with a California Home Care Organization, home care agency, or similar healthcare staffing environment
- Familiarity with CDSS Home Care Services Bureau requirements
- Knowledge of the California Home Care Aide Registry
- Familiarity with HCA registration/affiliation and background clearance requirements
- Experience using Indeed or similar recruiting platforms
- Strong phone interviewing and candidate-screening skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a high volume of applicants and follow-ups independently
- Ability to distinguish between candidates who are ready for onboarding and candidates who still need to complete compliance requirements

We are looking for someone who understands that successful caregiver recruiting is more than simply scheduling interviews. Our recruiter should be able to identify qualified, reliable, and compliant caregivers and move strong candidates efficiently through the recruiting process.
Knowledge of California HCA and CDSS requirements is strongly preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
