Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick and Block Mason to join our dynamic construction team in Jacksonville, Fl. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate construction according to specifications.
- Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry units with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Install reinforcement materials such as rebar to strengthen structures and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Execute concrete finishing tasks including pouring, smoothing, and sealing concrete surfaces for durability and aesthetic appeal.
- Construct or repair walls, facades, fireplaces, patios, and other hardscape features utilizing masonry techniques.
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on masonry work; familiarity with building material installation is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately; experience with schematics is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, chisels, hammers, levels, as well as power tools like saws and drills.
- Knowledge of concrete forming processes and finishing techniques to produce high-quality surfaces.
- Experience with rebar installation for structural reinforcement; understanding of concrete curing processes is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites; commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
