The Law Office of Jonel Lemy, P.A. is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our growing team. Our firm handles personal injury, insurance, and immigration matters, and we're looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation support environment.
About the Role
As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys and case managers to support clients from intake through settlement or litigation. This role is essential to ensuring our clients receive timely, thorough, and compassionate representation.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury files from opening through resolution
- Draft demand letters, medical chronologies, and settlement correspondence
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters
- Request and organize medical records, bills, and liens
- Track case deadlines, statutes of limitations, and treatment status
- Prepare files for litigation, including drafting pleadings and discovery documents
- Coordinate with treating physicians and expert witnesses as needed
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation
Qualifications
- Minimum3- 5 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal or case manager
- Strong understanding of PIP, bodily injury claims, and Florida insurance law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Litify, MyCase, or similar)
- Bilingual (English/Creole or English/Spanish) preferred
- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree preferred but not required with sufficient experience
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple files simultaneously
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000, commensurate with experience
