Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and care
- Maintain strict sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff
- Assist clients in selecting nail colors, designs, and treatments that suit their style and preferences
- Promote additional services like skincare treatments (chemical peels, dermabrasion), body waxing, eyelash extensions, or makeup application to enhance guest experiences
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently using salon software such as Millennium or MINDBODY to maximize client flow
- Engage with guests through excellent customer service skills, building rapport and ensuring their comfort throughout their visit
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail technology, color theory, and esthetic treatments to provide innovative options
Requirements
- Valid Cosmetology or Nail Technician license as required by state regulations
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in nail care and esthetic treatments
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and proper sterilization procedures
- Familiarity with salon management software like Millennium or MINDBODY for scheduling and client records
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell services and retail products effectively
- Ability to perform detailed work such as intricate nail art or hair threading with precision
- Experience with advanced treatments such as botulinum toxin injections (for medical spas), dermal fillers, or laser treatments is a plus but not mandatory
- Strong customer service orientation combined with hospitality skills to create a welcoming atmosphere
