Northeast Georgia Health System is rooted in a foundation of improving the health of our communities.
Provide leadership for program design, development, implementation and marketing of education/training programs for healthcare professionals, students and other key consumers in accordance with Foothills AHEC ‘s goals and objectives within the 31 county service region. Responsible for the retention efforts of healthcare professionals through identified projects including the development and maintenance of relationships with various community partners.
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in health science related field with a minimum of three (3) years experience.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years relevant work experience with health care professionals, teaching, group facilitation and/or continuing education.
Other:
Knowledge of health professions continuing education needs. Knowledge of instructional design and/or educational process
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver effective results
High level of professionalism required including strong interpersonal communication skills, in addition to excellent writing and presentation skills
Ability to utilize distance learning technology; software and equipment
Knowledge of website management, functionality, and social media platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web design tools, internet applications and additional database applications
Develops working relationships with potential partners/co-sponsors of continuing education to include healthcare providers, healthcare professional organizations, health related federal, state and local agencies, secondary and post-secondary academic systems, communities and health related businesses for the purpose of delivering educational training programs targeted toward health professionals in 31 county region.
Responsible for the coordination of the Pathway to Med School program; a month long residential program for pre-med students interested in becoming a primary care physician in Georgia.
Conducts formal and informal needs assessments to determine program offerings that reflect the needs of the Foothills AHEC region and comply with grant and contract requirements.
Submit appropriate applications for approval from various accrediting organizations and the associated record keeping required by these organizations for the purpose of providing CE credit to health care professionals.
Develops and implements strategies to assure appropriate marketing, implementation and evaluation of educational programming.
Market educational programming and services in various formats to include brochures, flyers, website announcements, e-newsletters, promotion at conferences, social media and other methods as appropriate.
Utilize evaluation results to share program successes and make improvements as needed.
Responsible for the data collection, database input and reporting for the continuing education and special projects programming.
Serves as the primary support, coordination and sustainability of the Distance Learning programming and teleconference meeting platform.
Ensure that all educational program grants and contract requirements are adhered to and goals and objectives are achieved.
Works collaboratively with Foothills AHEC staff to create new content and update existing content for www.foothillsahec.org and other social media platforms as requested.
Works with the Center Director and other AHEC staff to facilitate AHEC efforts in the retention program area.
