A Steady Hand is looking to hire a caring, outgoing DSP to fulfill a position at a site in Dublin, Ohio. The individual is a 73 year old male. He is easy going and fun to work with. No behavior plan. The duties include: cleaning, hygiene assistance, meal prep, community outings, completion of daily documentation, and following the outlined ISP.
The hours of this position is as follows:
- Wednesday: 9a-4p
- Friday: 4p-12a
- Saturday: 9a-4p
- Sunday: 8a-4p (You will take him to church during this shift)
- Potential for more hours.

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents’ health status is maintained
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols in accordance with state and facility guidelines
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care, employing behavior management techniques to promote comfort and safety
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when needed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Document all care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately and promptly for seamless communication among team members
Requirements
- Prior experience in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments
- Certification or experience in first aid and CPR is advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for driving assignments or community outings are required
