We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and client-focused Licensed Esthetician to join our founding team and play a key role in building an exceptional patient experience from the ground up.
Position Overview
The Licensed Esthetician will provide professional skincare treatments, perform comprehensive consultations, educate clients on treatment options and skincare products, and collaborate closely with our clinical team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate is passionate about skincare, thrives in a team-oriented environment, has strong consultation and retail skills, and is excited about helping grow a new aesthetic practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform professional skincare treatments including facials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, hydrafacials, microneedling, and other services within the scope of licensure.
- Conduct thorough skin assessments and consultations.
- Develop customized treatment plans based on individual client concerns and goals.
- Educate clients on treatment options, expected outcomes, and post-care instructions.
- Recommend and sell medical-grade skincare products and home-care regimens.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and treatment records.
- Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner, Lead Nurse Injector, and Medical Director to ensure continuity of care and optimal treatment results.
- Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies in accordance with sanitation and infection-control standards.
- Build strong client relationships through exceptional service and follow-up care.
- Stay current on skincare trends, treatment innovations, and product knowledge.
- Support patient retention initiatives and contribute to practice growth through referrals, reviews, and retail sales.
Patient Volume Expectations
- Manage a daily schedule of approximately 8–15 clients per day depending on treatment type and appointment duration.
- Complete consultations, treatments, and follow-up appointments efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Complete all required documentation promptly and accurately.
- Contribute to practice growth through client retention and exceptional patient experiences.
Team Collaboration Expectations
At Skin Theory Med Spa, collaboration is essential to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. The Licensed Esthetician will:
- Work closely with the Nurse Practitioner, Lead Nurse Injector, and Medical Director to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Identify opportunities for cross-treatment recommendations when appropriate.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing education initiatives.
- Assist in creating a positive, professional, and supportive workplace culture.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding client care, scheduling, and treatment recommendations.
- Support practice-wide goals related to patient satisfaction, retention, and growth.
QualificationsRequired
- Current Georgia Esthetician License in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical spa, dermatology practice, plastic surgery office, or advanced skincare setting.
- Experience performing advanced aesthetic treatments including chemical peels, dermaplaning, and microneedling.
- Strong consultation, client education, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of skincare ingredients, treatment protocols, and medical-grade skincare products.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hydrafacial, SkinPen, RF microneedling, or other advanced aesthetic technologies.
- Proven success with retail skincare sales and client retention.
- Existing client following is a plus.
- Experience working in a fast-paced medical spa environment.
- Additional certifications in advanced aesthetic treatments.
- Social media experience and willingness to participate in educational or promotional content.
