American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring hands-on interventional cardiac cath lab experience and active IL licensure.

Cath Lab unit within a 562-bed, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital
-
5-room Cath Lab unit with an average daily census of 25
-
Patient population includes adults undergoing interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures
-
Procedures include: diagnostic catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, PA line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, and circulating procedures

Procedural sedation administration and monitoring required

Charting via Cerner EMR
-
Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
-
Candidates will work 2–3 weekends per contract
-
On-call is required as needed
-
Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Free parking is available with a permit obtained during orientation

Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards not accepted)

Minimum 1 year of interventional cardiac cath lab experience required

Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required

Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management required

Cerner EMR experience required
-
SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted for this position

Any permanent or PRN employee of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before being considered as a traveler

Travel pairs are not accepted

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays falling within the contract period

RTO of up to 5 days is generally accommodated; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval
