We are seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to machine a variety of bearings from setup through completion based on customer orders. Hands-on manual lathe and milling experience is required, along with the ability to accurately read micrometers.
Qualifications - Manual Machinist
- 1+ year of hands-on manual machining experience
- Experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
- Ability to accurately read and use micrometers and other precision measuring tools
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate parts
- Ability to set up machines, select tooling, and determine machining sequence
- Ability to work independently and take a job from setup through completion
- Welding experience is a plus
- Ability to perform hands-on, physical work and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities - Manual Machinist
- Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines
- Machine a variety of bearings based on customer specifications
- Take jobs from setup through completion
- Read drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Use micrometers and precision measuring tools to verify dimensions
- Make adjustments as needed to maintain accuracy and quality
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Work on both repetitive orders and a variety of different bearing types
- Identify equipment issues and maintain a safe, clean workstation
