Position Overview
The Outpatient Therapist delivers clinical services to individuals with SMI, SED, and/or I/DD. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, providing therapy, ensuring documentation compliance, and collaborating with referral sources.
Persons with lived experience in mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adults and children using DSM-5 criteria
- Provide individual and group therapy
- Participate in crisis intervention and emergency on-call rotation
- Determine eligibility for agency services
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with community partners and interagency teams
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or Counseling
- Michigan licensure: LMSW, LLMSW, LPC, or LLPC (full license preferred)
- CADC or CAADC certification preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel within service area
- Valid Michigan driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and satisfactory driving record
Additional Requirements
- Participation in after-hours emergency services on-call rotation
- Pre-employment background check (criminal, driving, education, employment)
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
