Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services using the latest techniques and industry best practices.
- Perform precise hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care treatments to meet client needs.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and ensuring a clean work environment in accordance with health regulations.
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Assist clients at the front desk by welcoming guests, answering inquiries, and scheduling follow-up appointments to foster strong relationships.
- Upsell retail products like hair care items, skincare products, and beauty accessories to enhance client satisfaction and store revenue.
- Mentor junior team members and support store management in daily operations to promote a positive team atmosphere.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the state or relevant licensing authority.
- Proven experience in hair styling, coloring (including color theory), and advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves or hair extensions.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols and salon safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively connect with clients and understand their beauty goals.
- Familiarity with salon software like MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail management.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling opportunities confidently.
- Experience with retail sales, store management basics, and front desk duties is highly desirable.
- Skilled in nail care, makeup application, eyelash extensions, hair threading, and other beauty services as needed.
