Job Overview
Thunderstruck Powder Coating is looking for a dependable, hardworking Sandblaster to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing a wide variety of metal parts for powder coating by sandblasting, cleaning, and inspecting surfaces to ensure the highest quality finish. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, and is willing to learn and grow with the company.
Please note: Due to a new contract expected to begin soon, this position will start as part-time for the first 1–2 months. As workload increases, the position is expected to transition into full-time employment based on performance and shop needs.
Responsibilities
● Sandblast metal parts to prepare them for powder coating.
● Inspect parts before and after blasting to ensure quality.
● Load and unload parts safely.
● Maintain blasting equipment and keep the work area clean.
● Follow all shop safety procedures and wear required PPE.
● Assist with other shop duties as needed.
Qualifications
● Previous sandblasting or industrial shop experience is preferred but not required.
● Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
● Strong attention to detail.
● Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
● Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
