We’re looking for a dynamic and versatile coach who thrives in both 1-on-1 and group training environments.
As a Fitness Coach / Group Class Instructor, you’ll help members transform their bodies and build sustainable fitness habits through personalized coaching, elite programming, and high-energy group experiences. You'll work closely with clients on their goals, lead standout classes, and contribute to the culture that makes Iron Culture one of the most respected brands in the region.
We’re especially interested in trainers who bring specialty expertise in one or more of the following disciplines:
Boxing / Kickboxing / Muay Thai
HYROX or hybrid conditioning
Yoga or Floor Pilates
Mobility, Stretch Therapy, or Active Recovery
Build and maintain a strong roster of personal training clients
Design custom, goal-oriented programs to drive performance, aesthetics, and health improvements
Provide guidance on nutrition, recovery, and lifestyle habits
Monitor progress through Iron Culture's coaching app and regular assessments
Use correctives, movement prep, and advanced techniques as clients progress
Create deep, trusting client relationships built on results, communication, and accountability
Lead high-energy, technically sound classes aligned with our core offerings (strength, conditioning, mobility, performance)
Deliver specialty classes in your area of expertise (e.g., boxing, yoga, Hyrox, etc.)
Support and sub existing classes as needed — bringing consistency and presence to the schedule
Create an engaging, safe, and challenging class environment that leaves members motivated and wanting more
Proactively engage with members to identify personal training opportunities
Support the sales process by conducting assessments, trials, and onboarding sessions
Maintain a positive, energetic floor presence that enhances the community culture
Participate in internal education, team development, and ongoing certifications
Maintain accurate scheduling, notes, and client information using our systems
Passion for fitness and an obsession with helping people improve
Confident group coaching ability and motivating presence
Deep technical knowledge of strength training, mobility, conditioning, and recovery
Entrepreneurial mindset — you take initiative, own your schedule, and drive your business
Excellent communication, client retention, and rapport-building skills
High integrity and consistency — you walk the walk
Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, NSCA, ISSA, ACE, or equivalent)
CPR/AED Certification
1+ year of experience in personal training or group instruction
Specialty certification or strong experience in one or more:
Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
Sales experience in a gym or coaching environment

Required Skills
- Communication: clearly explain exercises, actively listen to clients, and provide verbal guidance
- Customer Service: maintain positive client relationships by being friendly, encouraging, and polite
- Motivation: inspire and motivate clients to stay engaged in their training and classes
- Physical Fitness: capable of leading classes and demonstrating various exercises
- Physical Stamina: ability to stand, bend, pull, push, and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Problem-solving: evaluate clients' fitness levels and develop suitable training plans
- Commitment: prioritize clients' needs and establish realistic expectations
- Flexibility: adjust training programs as necessary to accommodate clients’ evolving needs
- Knowledge of fitness: possess a solid understanding of exercise science, anatomy, and physiology
- Nutritional expertise: recognize how diet impacts body composition, performance, and recovery
- Reliability: arrive on time and consistently follow through on commitments
- Organizational skills: ensure a seamless exercise experience for clients
Experience & Prerequisites
- Minimum of one year of personal training experience required, 3+ years preferred
- High school degree or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Personal Training Certification required
- Availability to work various shifts including early morning, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Demonstrated success as a coach.
