Primary Purpose:
Under direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the central administration office.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient word processing and file maintenance skills
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word
processing
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written instructions
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Experience:
Experience in a school district office setting preferred.
Experience with student information systems and PEIMS reporting preferred.
Knowledge of Texas Education Agency (TEA) reporting requirements preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records, Reports, and Correspondence
1.Greet visitors and respond to routine questions from staff and public.
2. Prepare materials, meeting agendas and communication as requested, using typewriter or computer.
3. Assist with the collection, entry, verification, and maintenance of student and staff data for PEIMS submissions. Monitor coding and data entry procedures to ensure compliance with TEA guidelines and district policies.
4. Monitor visitor check-in procedures and maintain campus security protocols.
5. Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information.

8. Receive incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
