Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment to produce high-precision components. Your expertise in interpreting blueprints, programming CNC machines, and using precision measurement tools will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and manual machining tools to produce parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for accurate machining processes
- Program CNC machines using G-code and M-code languages to automate manufacturing tasks
- Perform machine setup, calibration, and tooling changes to optimize production runs
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments for quality control
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design improvements and process enhancements
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machinist with strong knowledge of CNC programming (CNC G-code), manual machining, and machine setup
- Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints and interpreting technical drawings with GD&T standards
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CAD programs for part design review
- Skilled in operating machining tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and power tools
- Mechanical knowledge related to metal machining, plastics injection molding components, and tooling processes
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and dial indicators for quality inspection
- Basic math skills necessary for measurement calculations and process adjustments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction
