Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a top service staffing company specializing in skilled trades and industrial staffing, is seeking dependable and skilled Apartment Maintenance/Remodelers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry, appliance repairs, plumbing, painting, and general repairs, and will be committed to delivering high-quality maintenance services in a timely and professional manner for our valued property management clients.
- Pay: $28.00–$30.00 per hour.
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with family housing requirements.
- Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday
- These roles are temporary-to-hire and short-term assignments, depending on the needs of the property.
- Personal basic set of hand tools is required for the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks in apartments and common areas, including:
- Plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains)
- Electrical (e.g., replacing outlets, troubleshooting lighting)
- Carpentry (e.g., door repairs, cabinetry fixes)
- Appliance repair and replacement
- Dry wall patching and texture
- Painting: interior with roller, brush or spray
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents (turnovers/make-readies)
- Complete resident service requests/work orders promptly and professionally
- Assist with groundskeeping duties as needed (e.g., trash pickup, snow removal)
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations
- Communicate effectively with residents, coworkers, and property management
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in residential, commercial, or multifamily housing preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various conditions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
