Your Impact As our DME Biller & Collector, you will own the entire revenue cycle from authorization to final payment. You will protect our practice's financial health by navigating complex payor policies and advocating for our patients.
Every day, you will:
- Secure Authorizations: Fast-track insurance approvals so patients get their equipment without delay.
- Own the Billing Cycle: Submit clean claims (HCFAs) using accurate HCPCS and ICD-10 codes.
- Solve Puzzles: Review aging reports, research claim denials, and aggressively investigate and appeal short-payments to maximize reimbursement.
- Build Relationships: Keep open, friendly lines of communication with insurance providers, patients, and internal management regarding account statuses.
- Post & Track: Seamlessly process incoming payments and update account records using Microsoft Excel.
What You Bring to the TableWe are looking for an assertive, solution-oriented professional who loves a fast-paced environment and isn't afraid to pick up the phone.
- The Experience: 2+ years of medical billing experience (DME-specific experience is highly preferred).
- The Know-How: Strong familiarity with DME billing , Medicare policies, PPOs, EOBs, and eligibilities.
- The Technical Skills: Solid understanding of HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and basic medical terminology.
- The Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (sorting, formatting, and simple formulas).
- The Soft Skills: A warm but firm phone presence, excellent multitasking skills, and a collaborative team spirit.
- The Basics: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
